Pellet stove seals, and the four places they live

A pellet stove runs under a slight depression created by its extraction fan, which means a leaking gasket does not smoke into the room — it makes the stove burn wrong, and the fault shows up as an error code rather than as smoke. There are four sealing points and the shelf covers all of them. The door gasket is rope or flat tape, sized by diameter or by width and thickness. The glass gasket is flat tape, usually self-adhesive, and is the one most often damaged during a glass change. The ash-pan or ash-drawer seal is flat and is the one people forget exists. And the extraction fan gasket, a die-cut shape specific to the fan housing, which is the only one of the four that is genuinely model-specific and the only one where a universal product is the wrong answer.
